The Annual General Assembly of Shelter Afrique Development Bank was held in Algiers, from July 15 to 17, 2025, at the Hotel El Aurassi, under the theme:

“Autonomy and sovereignty in the housing sector in Africa: opportunities and challenges.”

This continental event brought together government representatives, financial institutions, investors, as well as major stakeholders in the housing and construction sector from several African countries.

A participation focused on housing and construction

As a national industrial player, the DIVINDUS Group took part in this meeting in order to highlight its industrial capabilities and to align with the African housing development dynamic. This participation enabled the Group to promote its industrial solutions and to explore new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of construction materials and housing projects.

During the event, the DIVINDUS Group conducted several bilateral meetings with representatives of African institutions and delegations, paving the way for potential partnerships in the supply of materials and the implementation of construction projects.

Main areas of discussion

The proceedings and thematic conferences highlighted several strategic priorities for the housing sector in Africa, notably:

The use of local construction materials in order to stimulate national economies and reduce dependence on imports;

Improving access to decent and affordable housing through local and industrialized solutions;

Reforming the housing sector with a view to modernizing regulatory frameworks and facilitating investment.
